How it works and what you can expect:

Under normal circumstances we do these photoshoots in public parks, studio, somewhere more exotic, comfort of your own home etc. The places that I recommend is situated in Pretoria surroundings. Straight couples, mixed race couples or same-sex couples - everybody is most welcome! Ready to shoot... This means that your make-up, hair and wardrobe needs to be prepared beforehand otherwise we waste valuable time. You can bring up to 3 changes of clothes, accessories.  We supply props if you would be interested. We won't necessarily use everything, but this will ensure a variety of images. We can use our backdrops also for a variety of images. With family or couple shoots we do individual and group shots. We shoot as many images as possible. I always have reference poses if you do not know how to pose. I shoot all the images in high res RAW format. I use a Canon EOS650 camera.

 

What happens after the shoot?

After the photoshoot, I do a digital capture where I download the images. I go through them at my own pace and select the best ones from the shoot. I develop the images. This include cropping, colour balance and contrast check. I also add an automated skin smooth filter to soften skin tones. I convert all the RAW images to JPEG, export them and burn them to a DVD disc. You get the best selection (between 30-50 images) in high res format. Should you require any other editing, it will be charged at a extra rate.

Please note that you use the facilities and the studio at your own risk and you are liable for loss, damage, injury or death. Work of Heart Photography or the owner of the studio/location will not be liable for such. Should you require to shoot longer than an hour or if you’d like to shoot at a location of your choice, please enquire about pricing beforehand.

 

It is tricky to photograph small children or pets.  This may influence shooting time and the amount of shots you receive.  It is advisable to bring toys to try keep their focus.
